Our busy shipping programme continues, with exports through our South Australian (SA) ports surpassing three million tonnes for the season in March.
Contributing to this, we also passed one million tonnes of shipping from our Adelaide ports and at our Port Lincoln terminal.
“We’ve shipped South Australian farmers’ grain to over 30 countries, reflecting the strong global demand for grain from our network,” says Derek Robjohns, Senior Manager Supply Chain. “Thanks to the coordinated efforts of our upcountry and port operations, we’re able to provide our nine export customers a flexible and efficient service and deliver high-quality commodities that meet their individual requirements.”
With more than 70 vessels loaded, our total exports since October are now sitting at over 3.4 million tonnes.
During the month we also completed our regional postharvest meetings, hosting farmers and employees across our SA network to review the recent harvest. As we progress with planning for the coming season, we are continuing to review feedback gained to identify what worked well and areas for improvement.
Small volumes of grain continue to be delivered into sites across the network, with farmers making use of our postharvest delivery options. During March, farmers delivered around 12,000 tonnes to Bunge sites.
