A delivery to Inner Harbour last Monday kicked off the 2025/26 season in our Eastern region, with harvest now underway across all three regions. Farmers delivered 13,200 tonnes to Bunge sites during the week, and 11 sites received their first deliveries for the harvest.
Bunge Eastern region Operations Manager, Andrew Cannon says the Eastern region also welcomed its first upcountry delivery later in the week, with a load of lentils at Pinnaroo.
“It’s great to see both upcountry and port deliveries underway in the region. With most still a few weeks away from starting harvest, our local team is continuing to work closely with farmers to ensure sites are open when they are ready to deliver,” Andrew says.
“We are focused on providing a high level of service and support to meet farmers’ requirements and ensure harvest runs smoothly, recognising that some areas are expecting lower than average production.”
Sites in our Western and Central regions received the majority of tonnes during the week, with barley and lentils making up more than 80% of tonnes delivered.
We offered weekend hours at Ardrossan, Arno Bay, Bowmans, Gladstone, Port Pirie, Thevenard and Wallaroo to support farmers who were harvesting.
In addition to Inner Harbour and Pinnaroo, Bunge sites to receive the first 2025/26 harvest deliveries included Kimba, Witera and Wudinna in the Western region, and Ardrossan, Bowmans, Balaklava, Crystal Brook, Gladstone and Snowtown in the Central region.
