Farmers continued to progress through harvest last week, delivering close to 900,000 tonnes into the Bunge network and taking total receivals past 4.6 million tonnes for the season.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were the busiest days before hot weather and then rain in some areas slowed deliveries later in the week.
Port Lincoln and Wolseley broke their receival records again, with Port Lincoln surpassing their record on Wednesday and Wolseley setting back-to-back records on Friday and Saturday. Both sites have now broken their previous records three times this harvest.
Strong shipping continued from all regions, with our team loading vessels at Port Lincoln, Wallaroo, Port Giles and Adelaide.
Bunge Director Industrial Management, Gavin Cavanagh says it’s been another strong week.
“We saw some very busy days for sites last week including two sites breaking records again, which is a fantastic effort from farmers and our employees,” Gavin says.
“We are starting to see farmers wrap up in the northern areas of the Western, Central and Eastern regions, and we’re working closely with them to understand their opening hour requirements and support them through these final stages.
“We’ll also keep working with farmers in the areas that are still harvesting to support them into the new year.”
