Farmers delivered over 300,000 tonnes into sites last week, taking total receivals for the 2025/26 harvest to over 5.3 million tonnes.
On Thursday 1 January, we reached a major milestone ticking over 1,000,000 tonnes of shipping for the season, following our third biggest December of shipping on record.
Senior Manager Supply Chain Australia, Derek Robjohns says shipping continued across all six South Australian port terminals last week.
“Over the new year period our team continued moving grain through our network onto vessels,” Derek says.
“So far we’ve loaded more than 30 vessels on behalf of seven export customers with wheat, barley and lentils headed to 16 countries.
“This achievement highlights the efforts of our employees who have been continuously loading vessels since October and is supported by our road and rail logistics partners who work with us to move grain from upcountry to port.
“We’ve also had a busy three months outturning for domestic markets.
“With strong demand for grain this season and a further 5 million tonnes of shipping booked, we’re looking forward to continuing the momentum, loading vessels for more export customers and also seeing our first canola shipment soon.”
Deliveries have started to slow as more farmers finish harvest, but the South East remained active over the new year period, with sites open on New Year’s Day to support local farmers.
This resulted in our Wolseley site breaking its all time receival record on Friday last week, following the significant expansion of the site as part of our $50 million investment.
Eastern region Operations Manager, Andrew Cannon says this reflects the strong season local farmers are experiencing and support for the upgraded Wolseley site.
“This is a fantastic result for farmers in the South East who are having an exceptional season,” Andrew says.
“It’s also a credit to our team at Wolseley who have done an outstanding job keeping grain moving safely and efficiently. They’ve managed big volumes with record breaking days while moving the grain from Wolseley to Adelaide so it can be shipped to international markets.
“It’s great to see the site so well utilised following the significant improvements made before harvest to expand the site and improve the delivery experience.”
Our teams across the state are continuing to work closely with farmers to determine site opening hours as harvest winds down, to ensure we provide the service required to finish their crop.
This is our final weekly harvest report for the 2025/26 season. Our next monthly receivals report will be released on Tuesday, 3 February 2026.
