Farmer deliveries into the Bunge network ramped up last week with nearly 1 million tonnes delivered to our sites, taking total receivals for the season to just under 2.5 million tonnes.
Following a slow start to the week after another wet and cool weekend, receivals increased and Friday marked the busiest day for harvest so far, with over 200,000 tonnes delivered.
Bunge Western region Operations Manager, Nick Pratt says another three sites in the region broke their daily receival records last week, after Lock broke its the week prior.
“Cummins, Rudall and Port Lincoln all set new daily records which is a fantastic effort by everyone involved,” Nick says.
“As the weather improved later in the week we extended hours at our sites to allow farmers to make the most of the good conditions.
“With harvest on the Eyre Peninsula (EP) now in full swing, 2025/26 season deliveries for the Western region surpassed 1 million tonnes.
“Edillilie received its first delivery last week as farmers in the lower EP move to harvesting canola.”
Bunge Central region Operations Manager, Jack Tansley says the second half of the week was also busy for the Central region.
“It’s great to see some good weather and tonnes coming in across the region, and we offered extended hours to support farmers,” Jack says.
“We’re also moving grain to port ready for shipping to international markets, with a solid rail programme underway from Bowmans, Snowtown and Gladstone to Outer Harbor.”
In the Central region, Owen also welcomed its first delivery for the harvest during the week.
Bunge Eastern region Operations Manager, Andrew Cannon says deliveries in the region are continuing to pick up.
“We had 14 sites receiving throughout the week. Tailem Bend was the busiest, and we also saw good volumes at Inner Harbour, Wolseley and Pinnaroo,” Andrew says.
