Viterra announces leadership transition

Tim Krause, CEO for Viterra, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), has announced his retirement after 13 years with the company and a successful career in agriculture.

Under Tim’s management, Viterra ANZ has developed into one of the widest agriculture networks across the region, and is the leading service provider of its kind in South Australia, with a focus on the long term sustainability of our supply chain to connect local growers to end consumers in Australia and overseas.

Tim’s leadership skills have been a huge asset to our business, enabling a continued emphasis on quality and the highest level of service to our customers. His attention to safety and his genuine care for colleagues has inspired others, and helped Viterra develop leading safety practices and behaviours that have since been implemented across our global network.

Phil Hughes, previously General Manager Trading ANZ for Viterra, has been appointed to the role CEO ANZ. Phil has been working for Viterra for many years and has led our ANZ trading and marketing business. His leadership in connecting growers to key domestic and export customers through our agriculture network, and high quality control in our logistical supply chains through to customers, has been critical to Viterra’s success.

Tim will remain with Viterra until the end of December 2021 to ensure a smooth transition to Phil. They will work together in continuing to support business as usual operations and grower and end use customers in getting ready and delivering what is expected to be a very promising harvest for South Australia.
